Betting Tips, Picks & Predictions for UFC 190 – Rousey vs Correia

UFC 190 is a difficult event to bet on because it features a lot of inconsistent fighters. As a result, I have decided to play it safe and pick my spots. This means that I will only be betting on 5 fighters who each hold significant advantages over their opponent’s. I am not taking any chances on this event because I really want to kick August off with a big profit.

BETHE CORREIA vs RONDA ROUSEY BETTING TIPS

There’s always an element of risk in MMA. It’s a sport in which anything can happen. Injuries, knockouts and submissions can occur at anytime and there’s always the chance that any fighter could win on any given night. The unpredictable nature of the sport has defined the UFC for over 20 years. It’s what makes the sport so exciting. Nobody gave Royce Gracie a chance of winning the first ever UFC tournament back in 1993 and Matt Serra defied all the odds when he beat George St-Pierre for the UFC Welterweight Title back in 2007.

We love MMA because no matter how high the odds are stacked against a certain fighter, they always have a chance of winning. They can land a flash knockout, lock in a quick submission or grind out a win if their opponent becomes injured or underperforms.

I’ve been watching MMA for over 15 years and this is the first fight I have ever seen where I literally give someone no chance of winning. Bethe Correia will need a miracle to beat Ronda Rousey and even then that might not be enough…

Even if Ronda Rousey shows up out of shape and injured, she should still easily beat Bethe Correia within a matter of seconds. There’s just nothing that Correia can do to keep this fight competitive. If this fight stays standing Bethe is slow and sluggish. Ronda’s fast combos and footwork should easily enable her to outstrike Bethe. On the ground Bethe is only a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She’s not ready for what Ronda brings to the table. If and when this fight goes to the ground it should only take Ronda a few seconds to lock in an armbar or transition to a dominant position.

There are many people who will look down on placing bets on Ronda Rousey at the current odds and I understand why they feel the way they feel. Afterall… Risking large amounts of money to win small amounts of money goes against many of the strategies that gamblers have used since gambling first existed.

I’ve always found it interesting how a lot of people who share their strategies on gambling, have no evidence that they’ve ever made any money from betting on Sports. This is concerning when you take into account the fact that 95% of the people who bet on Sports are long term losers [stat comes courtesy of Bet365]. This means that most people who bet on Sports will never make any money. That means that the majority of people who sound like they know what they’re talking about on Facebook and Twitter and on Podcasts and websites may talk a great game, but when the chips are down they don’t make any cash. If someone tells you not to bet on Ronda Rousey this weekend, you should ask yourself whether you should value their opinion, because there’s a 95% chance that they don’t know what they’re talking about.

I’ve already made 53.72 units of profit in 2015.

This means that betting just $10 a unit on each of my betting tips over the last 6 months would have resulted in a profit of $537 Betting $100 per unit would have resulted in a profit of $5372 and betting $1000 per unit would have resulted in a profit of $53,720.

A long time ago I had a Professional Poker player as a mentor and he told me that anyone could make money from gambling if they consistently made the right decisions. His words have stuck with me over the years and they have helped me to generate an income from betting on MMA that most people could only dream of. Unfortunately, consistently making the right decisions is difficult because the part of our brain which is responsible for decision making is driven by our emotions and feelings. This makes it very hard for us to consistently make the right decisions, because our judgement is often clouded by our emotions.

There will be people this weekend that will not bet on Ronda Rousey because they are too proud. There will be others who will not bet on her because they don’t want to make their ROI look bad. There will be others who will not bet on her because they don’t see the point of betting such a large amount of money for such a small financial gain.

All these kinds of people have 1 thing in common. They let their emotions and feelings get in the way of making the right decision…

If you want to make money betting on MMA, you have to treat it like a business. You cannot make decisions based on your opinions, pride or feelings. Amazon.com sell TVs that cost $10,000 and they also sell Candy Bars that cost just $5. They do not discriminate when it comes to making money. Any type of profit is good and every single dollar we make adds up over the course of a year. That is the code that I live by. I’m not interested in my ROI or picking fancy underdogs. I am only concerned with making as much money as I can so that I can improve the quality of life for my family.

Betting on Ronda Rousey to beat Bethe Correia will give us around an 8% return on our money. All you have to do is hand your money over to the Bookies for a couple of days and when you get it back it will have grown by 8%. This is a fantastic return on our money for a very small amount of risk.

I also recommend that you place a bet on this fight to last less than 1.5 rounds. Ronda has said that she wants to drag this fight out and make Bethe suffer, but her coach, Edmond Tarverdyan and her Mom have both said that they don’t believe Ronda will let this fight last too long. Ronda’s Mom pleaded with her to end this fight fast because she hates the thought of Ronda getting hurt and since Ronda is very family orientated, I believe she’ll end this fight fast so that she doesn’t put her family through any unessessary stress.

Here you can see the footage of Ronda’s Mom talking about how she has urged Ronda to end the fight fast…

Here you can listen to Edmond Tarverdyan talk about how he doesn’t believe Ronda’s fight against Bethe will last that long.

The average fight time of Ronda’s 11 professional fights is just 56 seconds [thanks to NordicFlight for the stat]. Even if Ronda drags this fight out and punishes Bethe, I still don’t see it lasting longer than 1.5 rounds. I personally believe that Bethe is Ronda’s easiest opponent out of all the Women she has faced in Strikeforce and the UFC. 7.5 minutes is an eternity inside the Octagon and I don’t believe Bethe will be able to survive in there against Ronda for very long. I believe there’s a good amount of value on betting this fight to last less than 1.5 rounds.
