Bellator 214 Betting Picks, Tips and Predictions

There’s no UFC this weekend, so our attention turns to Bellator where Fedor and Ryan Bader compete for the vacant Bellator Heavyweight title in the final of the Heavyweight Grand Prix.

It is also likely that Bet365 and William Hill will be offering Live Betting on these fights. I don’t provide Live Betting Tips for non-UFC MMA events for two reasons:

1. Bellator fights are not televised where I live in the UK, so I would have to rely on an illegal stream to watch the fights. Streams are usually 1 or 2 minutes behind the televised broadcast which means I would be acting on old information when recommending Live Bets. This is a bad idea because I would be making decisions and trying to gauge value in the odds on information that is out of date.

2. Liquidity is extremely low on Live Betting Bellator. This means that if I were to recommend a bet the odds would quickly decline or become suspended as soon as a small number of you would try to place the same bet as me.

Hopefully, sometime this year liquidity on Bellator Live Betting will significantly improve when European betting sites potentially start to offer their services to customers in the United States. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on any news which may change the Live Betting landscape for Bellator.

UFC on ESPN+ 2 Betting Tips, Picks and Predictions

Our 2019 Live Betting campaign got off to a solid start last weekend when we banked just under 8 units of profit.

Unfortunately, prefight betting went badly because our only prefight bet of the night lost when Ariane Lipski failed to show up and perform to her full potential. She looked completely different to how she had previously performed in KSW. As the 125-pound KSW Flyweight Champion we had seen Lipski fight at a high pace for 25 minutes in 5 round title fights, and yet she looked flat footed and sluggish after being underneath Calderwood for the first 5 minutes of her UFC debut. More worryingly she seemed completely clueless on the ground. She did not attempt to improve her position or scramble back to her feet, and a more experienced grappler would have submitted her with ease. This was surprising considering she is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and regularly competes in BJJ tournaments. We’ve also seen her look very comfortable on the ground against past opponents in KSW. It was strange to see her being dominated on the ground by a low-level grappler like Joanne Calderwood.

We won’t ever know the reason why Lipski underperformed so badly, but it does feel like Female fighters have been underperforming and costing us a lot of money over the last few years. Just a few weeks ago we lost 4 units on Cyborg when she recklessly rushed forward in straight lines against Amanda Nunes with her chin up high and exposed. It was such a shockingly bad performance from a fighter that usually performs with ruthless consistency and an intelligent gameplan. Even Cyborg’s coach said that she beat herself.

I am always looking at ways that I can improve our profitability, so on Monday morning, I decided to review our prefight betting results for the past 2 years to determine whether it was worth continuing to bet on female fighters since they seem to underperform much more often than male fighters.

I chose not to include our betting results from 2016 in this evaluation because 2016 was the first year when USADA was introduced into the UFC. I also decided to exclude our bets from before 2016 because back then, without USADA, fighters we significantly more consistent than they are now.

UFC on FOX 31 Betting Tips, Picks and Predictions

UFC on FOX 31 marks the end of an era as it will be the last event broadcast on FOX Sports before the UFC launch a new wave of international broadcasting deals on January 19th.

As 2018 comes to an end, I thought I’d share my profitability chart, so that you can see how our year has gone so far. Elite Members have made around 130 units of profit so far, while VIP Members have made closer to 20 units. You can also find this chart on my Results page.

[wpdatachart id=10]

At this time of year, we usually look forward to a brand new betting campaign that starts in January, but this year is different because we don’t know if we will be able to continue to Live Bet after January the 19th. Right now instead of setting goals for 2019, I am just praying we can continue to do what we love. Rather than setting new goals for 2019, I am going to put 3 wishes out into the Universe in the hope that we can be blessed with some good luck. I don’t have a magic lamp like Aladdin, but at this point, I’m willing to try anything!

Firstly I want to wish that we can continue to Livebet in 2019 and beyond. Times are very tough, and the extra money we earn from gambling helps us lead a better quality of life. To have this taken away from us by factors outside of our control would be brutal. The way that the UFC is choosing to broadcast their fights will change dramatically from January 2019 onwards, and I pray that the betting sites are willing to evolve with the sport and continue to offer Live Betting.

Secondly, I’d like to wish for better judging in 2019. I’ve managed to grind out a solid set of results this year, but our profits should be much higher than 130 units. Bad judging and the uncertainty around how judges will score fights has personally cost me tens of thousands of dollars over the last 12 months. I’m not sure if this is how it’s always going to be from now on, or if this is short-term variance. Either way, I hope it stops. Bad judging is ruining fighter’s careers, and it costs everyone involved with the sport a lot of money. It needs to stop. The overall standard of judging in 2018 has been appalling. There’s no consistency.

Finally, I’d like to wish for the rollout of online gambling in the United States. Earlier this year, a bill was passed in the Supreme Court that enables US states to decide whether they want to legalize online gambling on an individual basis. This opens the door for giant, multi national online gambling companies like Bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Coral etc… To start offering their services to the people of the United States for the first time since the Full Tilt Poker scandal back in 2010. If online gambling is once again legalized in the United States, it will bring billions of dollars worth of liquidity into MMA betting, which will enable us to bet on a much wider range of websites, with dramatically increased liquidity. This is what we’ve been waiting for over the last 5 years, and in 2019 we might finally get it. It will be huge for us if online gambling is made legal in the United States.

When I set this website up 5 years ago, I never thought that it would turn into a place where we can jump into the Chat Room at any time of day and have great conversations with some amazing people. I really appreciate your support over all these years; it means a lot to me. It means more than I can put into words.

If this is going to be our last month betting on UFC together, I want you to know that I’ve had so much fun over the years. I haven’t had the chance to meet many of you in person, but I spend more time chatting with you than I spend talking to my friends and family. We have a strong bond here, and it’s something I’ll never forget. We ride extreme highs and extreme lows together every weekend, and I don’t want it to stop. The last 5 years have been a blast.

I’m looking forward to spending the next 5 years having more good conversations in the Chat Room and helping you make a ton of money.

UFC 231 Betting Tips, Picks and Predictions

2018 has been a solid year for us with VIP Members banking around 15 units of profit and Elite Members banking around 130 units of profit.

It’s possible that this could be our last month betting on MMA for a while with the future of Live Betting very uncertain in 2019 due to major global changes in UFC Broadcasting from January onwards.

Just today I noticed that the UFC has officially changed the name of their Fight Night cards from “UFC Fight Night XXX” to “UFC on ESPN+ X”. This means that the majority of UFC cards WILL NOT be on TV in MOST major countries from January 2019 onwards.

If this really is our last month being able to bet for a while I want to go out on a high. There are 3 events left this year. Let’s try to make as much money as possible!

UFC Fight Night 142 Betting Tips, Picks and Predictions

This is one of the busiest weeks of the year for MMA with over 50 fights taking place in the UFC, Bellator, and KSW on Friday and Saturday. The handicappers who set the odds on these fights are human like us, and so they struggle to accurately research this many fights in such a short space of time. This is why we always tend to see mistakes in the odds at this time of year. The massive increase in the number of fights is also probably one of the reasons why I tend to perform well at this time of the year. Handicappers and betting sites can’t keep up with how many fights they have to research.

TUF 28 Finale Betting Tips, Picks and Predictions

The upcoming week is one of the busiest weeks of the year for us with 2 UFC events, 2 Bellator events and 1 KSW event taking place over the next 7 days. We’ve already made a decent profit this year in both prefight and Live Betting and this final busy stretch is our chance to put our stamp on 2018 and end the year big.

I’ll be working flat out over the next 7 days to give us the best chance of banking a solid profit. I won’t be going outside, I won’t be washing and I probably won’t have time to eat either! This busy run of events means that I may not be in the Chat Room as much as I usually am because I need to spend all my time researching fights. If you need me for something urgent please send me an email at
