[adrotate group=”103″]Jay Silva owes me a couple of grand for fighting like a complete jackass at KSW 29. It’s a miracle that he doesn’t owe me a new TV as well, because I came extremely close to throwing mine out of the window after having to watch him fight like a complete dickhead for 15 minutes. Jay Silva was a much better fighter than Piotr Strus in every single aspect of MMA, but he threw away the win by showboating for the entire duration of the fight.
Silva showed complete disdain for Piotr Strus from the very first second of the fight. He was clearly a much better fighter than Strus, but he chose to showboat instead of going for the win and this cost him. Silva could’ve dominated, but he allowed Strus to keep this fight competitive by allowing the Polish fighter to hit him and score points. At one point, he even did what Anderson Silva did to Stephan Bonnar and just stood with his back against the cage, allowing Piotr Strus to hit him. It was one of the most ridiculous things that I’ve ever seen in an MMA fight.
Most people scored the fight 29-28 in favour of Silva and one of the judges also scored it 29-28. The fight ended up being ruled a majority draw and whilst I do believe that Silva won, I don’t blame the two judges who scored it a draw. Silva clearly won, but his showboating was disrespectful and uncalled for and I’m glad the judges taught him a lesson by not giving him the win.
I want to apologise to all my members for this poor betting tip. I would never normally recommend betting on an idiot like Jay Silva, but he was clearly a much better fighter than Piotr Strus and he’s never showboated in the past. Silva won the fight, but the showboating cost him the win. I’m just glad that the draw resulted in us getting our money back.
