ABEL TRUJILLO vs TONY FERGUSON
Tony Ferguson is better than Abel Trujillo in every single aspect of Mixed Martial Arts. He has better striking, better grappling, dangerous submissions and strong wrestling. He also has a 6 inch reach advantage over Trujillo and he’s never been knocked out.
Ferguson is simply too well rounded for Trujillo. If this fight stays standing, Ferguson has a significant reach advantage and he’s also got a good chin and superb striking defence. He should be able to use his range and high pressure style of fighting to get the better of the striking exchanges and break Trujillo down.
Abel Trujillo is known as a powerful wrestler, but Ferguson is a 2 time All American with excellent take down defence and really good Jiu Jitsu. Trujillo has poor take down defence and a basic ground game that will leave him wide open to Ferguson’s dangerous submissions.
Trujillo has heavy hands and legitimate knock out power but he relies on brute strength as opposed to good technique. This makes him predictable, easy to counter and even easier to pick apart.
Abel Trujillo’s lack of good technique and muscular physique also sees him slow down and become less dangerous the longer a fight goes on. He struggled in his last few fights when his opponents started to push the pace and Tony Ferguson is a high pressure fighter with superb cardio. He should be able to pressure Trujillo and wear him down the longer the fight goes on.
Abel Trujillo is tough as nails and he’s got knock out power, but Ferguson is also tough and he’s got the skills to back it up. This should be a great fight and I absolutely expect Tony Ferguson to win.

ANTHONY HAMILTON vs TODD DUFFEE
Todd Duffee is a great fighter but he hasn’t fought in the last 2 years because he’s been out of action with a couple of serious injuries. The UFC’s Heavyweight division is seriously lacking in fresh talent right now and I feel the UFC are giving Duffee an easy fight in Anthony Hamilton, because they know that he has the potential to be a top 5 Heavyweight. It’s also an added bonus that his fights are always exciting…
In case you hadn’t already guessed, I’m betting on Todd Duffee to win this fight. I know it’s risky because he hasn’t fought in the last 2 years and he’s coming back after a couple of serious injuries, but even if he shows up and looks half as good as he did before, he will absolutely murder Anthony Hamilton. I really feel like this is the perfect tune up fight to help him settle back into the UFC. Anthony Hamilton is a relatively harmless fighter and this will enable Duffee to shake the ring rust and take one step closer to getting his career back on track.
Todd Duffee has been out of action for a long time but he’s still got a lot going for him. He’s only 28, which makes him 6 years younger than Anthony Hamilton and he trains at a really solid camp in American Top Team. Before he got injured, he was training at AKA with Cain Velasquez, Daniel Cormier and Luke Rockhold and he was a direct training partner of Cain Velasquez. This means that he gained valuable experience fighting the best Heavyweight in the world, every single day in training.
Even if Duffee suffers from ring rust and only looks half as good as he did before, I still believe that he will beat Anthony Hamilton. Duffee is a much better striker than Hamilton and he’s also a powerful grappler with good take down defence.
Hamilton looked really uncomfortable when he was getting hit by Alexey Oleinik in his UFC debut and it kind of looked like he quit in that fight. I can assure you that Duffee hits a hell of a lot harder than Oleinik and I predict that Duffee will win this fight by first round knockout. Hamilton also showed really bad fight IQ in his last fight against Ruan Potts.
At 28 years old Todd Duffee is still young enough to make some waves in the UFC and it’s possible that he could show up and look better than he ever has done before. Anthony Hamilton doesn’t have any clear paths to victory and I don’t see any way that he can win this fight. Duffee has been 100% healthy since this past July and his Twitter feed has been full of training pictures and videos that show Duffee looking great. 2 years of ring rust could end up making Duffee look bad, but I still don’t think it’s going to be enough to save Hamilton.
OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units [5% of your bankroll] on Todd Duffee to win at odds of 1.33 | -303 | 33/100
