KOJI ANDO vs ZOROBABEL MOREIRA
Zorobabel Moreira is a well rounded fighter who possesses good striking and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also trains out of Evolve MMA, which is one of the best MMA gyms in Asia. Evolve MMA fighters tend to perform really well in ONE FC and I believe that Moreira has the best chance of winning this fight, despite being the underdog. Moreira lives in Singapore which gives him an advantage because ONE FC – Battle of Lions is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Arena. This kind of gives Moreira home advantage, because he will be able to eat foods that he is familiar with, stick to his natural sleeping patterns and save time by not having to travel to a different country to compete. Moreira is primarily a Jiu Jitsu fighter, but he also possesses really good striking. He’s a relatively diverse fighter and he’s comfortable playing the role of counter striker or taking control of the fight and putting pressure on his opponents. Moreira is a very long Lightweight and he uses his range really well. This range allows him to dictate the pace of a fight and land strikes without taking too much damage in return. Moreira’s competent striking and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt make him a well rounded fighter who will be a test for any Lightweight outside of the UFC. Koji Ando’s style of fighting differs greatly from Moreira’s, because Ando is a relatively one dimensional fighter who is only looking to take you down and control you on the ground. Moreira should easily be able to avoid takedowns and pick Ando apart from the outside. Ando is not the kind of guy who is going to work his way inside with jabs and combos and his tentative striking style should make this a relatively easy fight for Moreira… Here is some footage from one of Koji Ando’s fights last year and it illustrates how one dimensional he is… As you can see in the following video, Moreira has good striking and he does a great job of using his range to keep his opponents on the outside…Zorobabel Moreira x Roger Heurta by stu3ufc The only thing that worries me about this bet is the fact that Moreira hasn’t fought in the last 2 years. This is always a concern, because fighters coming back from a long lay off either look much better than they did before or they turn up looking rusty. I still believe a rusty Moreira is capable of beating Ando, but I can only recommend a 5 unit bet [2.5% of your bankroll] because a long lay off is always a concern. I am hoping that it won’t play too much of a factor in this fight because Ando isn’t an active fighter either, having only competed twice in the last 2 years… OUR BETTING TIP: 5.00 Units [2.5% of your bankroll] on Zorobabel Moreira to win at odds of 2.65 | +165 | 33/20 The best odds on Zorobabel Moreira to win can be found at: [adrotate banner=”92″]
