CHARLES OLIVEIRA vs MAX HOLLOWAY BETTING TIP
I believe Max Holloway can win this fight by using his superior footwork and excellent takedown defence to keep this fight standing. Holloway does a great job of stuffing takedowns and he’s currently defended 78% of all takedown attempts across 12 fights in the UFC. It’s also worth noting that he does an excellent job of scrambling back to his feet when he gets taken down. Charles Oliveira is one of the best submission grapplers to ever compete in the UFC, but he has poor offensive wrestling and struggles to get fights to the ground. This is backed up by that fact that he has only successfully completed 34% of all takedown attempts across 13 fights in the UFC. Most of his fights that have ended up on the ground and stayed on the ground have done so because his opponent’s have chosen to engage him in grappling exchanges. Max Holloway has excellent fight IQ and he will not make the same mistake. Oliveira’s striking has improved a lot in recent years, but he has serious defensive weaknesses that will make it easy for Holloway to pick him apart. Holloway is very fast and he has some of the best footwork in the UFC’s Featherweight division. He should be able to use his superior technique to stay on the outside and chip away at Oliveira with his more technical striking. Oliveira’s style of striking is very aggressive, but he lacks the power or technique to inflict any kind of significant damage on Holloway. I believe Oliveira will find it very difficult to deal with Max Holloway’s stand up game because Holloway frequently switches stances and he’s very comfortable fighting from either Orthodox or Southpaw. This kind of varied striking is a nightmare for an inexperienced striker like Charles Oliveira who has poor striking defence. Max Holloway does a great job of getting in and out of his opponent’s range without taking damage. Holloway lands almost double the amount of strikes per minute and the longer this fight stays standing, the easier it will be for Holloway. I believe Holloway will win this fight because every round starts standing and Holloway is very mobile, which will make it difficult for Oliveira to tie him up and take him down. Most of Oliveira’s takedowns come from the clinch and Holloway should be able to either avoid this position or quickly disengage when Oliveira looks to tie him up. The cut to 145 pounds is difficult for Charles Oliveira and his cardio could let him down in a 5 round fight. Holloway’s cardio has always looked excellent and he appears to get stronger the longer a fight goes on. Holloway should be able to keep this fight standing and easily win this fight by staying on the outside and picking Oliveira apart. I also recommend betting on this fight to last longer than 1.5 rounds because Oliveira and Holloway have never competed in a 5 round fight before, which means they’ll probably be looking to start slower and pace themselves. It’s also worth noting that Max Holloway doesn’t have particularly powerful striking and most of his wins by KO or TKO have come later in fights by overwhelming his opponent’s with his volume and work rate. Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway have 25 times in the UFC and 18 out of those 25 fights have lasted longer than 1.5 rounds. Oliviera and Holloway are both very tough and well rounded and I don’t believe an early finish is a realistic outcome in this fight. MARCOS ROGERIO DE LIMA vs NIKITA KRYLOV BETTING TIP
Nikita Krylov has a legit puncher’s chance in this fight, but Marcos Rogerio De Lima is a terrible matchup for him. Krylov’s biggest weakness is his striking defence and wreckless stand up game. He tries to compensate for his inability to block strikes, by wading forward and pressuring his opponent’s. This leaves him wide open to getting countered and knocked out. Marcos Rogerio De Lima has fast hands, he’s very accurate and he hits like a truck. I just don’t see how Krylov is going to be able to exchange strikes with De Lima without getting knocked out. Krylov has also demonstrated poor fight IQ throughout his career. He continually takes unessessary risks and his inability to fight smart has cost him his consciousness on a few different occasions. De Lima has shown good fight IQ throughout his career and he’s got the cardio and intelligence to win fights by grinding on his opponents. Nikita Krylov has poor takedown defence and wrestling and if De Lima can’t win the fight standing up, I expect him to grind out a win by taking Krylov down or controlling him against the cage. Krylov has shown suspect cardio in a few of his fights which gives De Lima an edge because De Lima has shown that he’s capable of fighting a gruelling pace for at least 2 rounds. I expect De Lima to win this fight by knockout or TKO in the very first round. What’s the the 4th pick? I only see 2 in the premium tips and 1 in the the free tips. Halloway, De Lima, and Laprise. Who’s the 4th?
Hey Ares,
Hope you’re having a good day mate.
The 4th bet is the over 1.5 rounds in the fight between Holloway and Oliveira. I think it’s a really good value bet. 18 out of their last 25 fights have lasted longer than 1.5 rounds and I think they’ll both start a bit slower and try to pace themselves since this is a 5 round fight.
Let me know what you think mate.
