MIKE EASTON vs YVES JABOUIN
Mike Easton lacks finishing power and has fought to a decision in his last 5 fights. Yves Jabouin has fought to a decision in 4 out of his last 6 fights. The 2 finishes in Jabouin’s last 6 fights were due to knockout losses and I don’t believe that Easton has the power to finish Jabouin. For that reason you should bet on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds. OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds at odds of 1.67 | -149 | 67/100 THE BEST ODDS ON THIS FIGHT TO GO OVER 2.5 ROUNDS CAN BE FOUND AT: [adrotate group=”48″][divider]
OVINCE ST PREUX vs RYAN JIMMO
Ovince St Preux is a dangerous opponent for anyone in the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division, but he still has a lot of holes in his game. His fighting style relies on power over technique and this means that he fades fast and becomes significantly less dangerous the longer a fight goes on. His punches are also telegraphed and easy to see coming. Ryan Jimmo is an elite Karate fighter who has some of the best striking defence in the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division. He should be able to avoid St Preux’s early power punches, before picking him apart in the second and third rounds. Home advantage is huge in MMA and Canadian fighters tend to perform extremely well when they fight in Canada. Ryan Jimmo is the perfect example of this, having only lost once in 20 career fights on Canadian soil. Betting on Ryan Jimmo to win at odds of 2.25 | +125 | 5/4 is a great bet. I expect him to fight smart and make this fight ugly. He always raises his game when he fights in Canada and he can easily stay on the outside and win this fight with counter punches and clinch work. OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on Ryan Jimmo to win at odds of 2.25 | +125 | 5/4 THE BEST ODDS ON RYAN JIMMO TO WIN CAN BE FOUND AT: [adrotate group=”80″][divider]
RORY MACDONALD vs TYRON WOODLEY
Tyron Woodley’s highlight reel knockouts of Josh Koscheck and Jay Hieron have helped sell him as a devastating knock out artist. But people seem to forget that it wasn’t that long ago when he relied on lay and pray tactics to scrape through fights in Strikeforce. Woodley has only won 3 out of his last 5 fights and one of those wins was a gift when Carlos Condit got injured. I’m still not sold on him being a top contender and Rory MacDonald is a massive step up in competition from Koscheck and Hieron. Rory MacDonald is a better striker than Tyron Woodley and he should be able to stay on the outside and pick Woodley apart with his more technical striking. MacDonald is very good at using his range and footwork to stay out of harms way and Woodley’s lack of feints and volume will make it easy to see his power punches coming. Tyron Woodley will probably want to take this fight to the ground, but it won’t be easy because MacDonald has some of the best take down defence in the UFC’s Welterweight division. I’m not too worried about what might happen if Woodley does land a couple of takedowns, because whilst I admit he is a better WRESTLER than Rory, I consider Rory to be a better GRAPPLER. I say this because Rory has excellent scrambles and dangerous submissions. Rory’s submission game could cause Woodley all kinds of problems if this fight does go to the ground. Cardio is also a factor to consider when picking the winner of this fight. Tyron Woodley’s body type is simply not built for MMA. It’s great for 5 minutes and it’s great for highlight reel knockouts, but a guy with that much excess muscle will slow down significantly the longer a fight goes on. Can Woodley keep up with MacDonald for 3 rounds? I doubt it… You also have to take into account Rory’s home advantage. Home advantage is huge in MMA and Canadian fighters tend to perform extremely well when they fight on Canadian soil. The oddsmakers have made Tyron Woodley the favourite in this fight, but Rory Macdonald should be able to keep this fight standing and cruise to victory. The odds of 2.28 | +128 | 32/25 on MacDonald to win make this one of the best value bets of the year. OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on Rory MacDonald to win at odds of 2.28 | +128 | 32/25 THE BEST ODDS ON RORY MACDONALD TO WIN CAN BE FOUND AT: [adrotate group=”62″][divider]
