One of the biggest regrets I have, is that I didn’t document the big achievements or the brutal low points that I’ve had throughout my career.
I wish I had videos to look back on from the past 15 years to remind myself of some of the extreme highs and extreme lows that I’ve been through.
From now on I am going to start documenting those big moments in my career, so that I can look back on them in the future and take strength from knowing I can work through extremely tough times, but also to keep myself in check and to not get complacent during those times where everything is going great.
In Poker there is an expression “Cold Deck”.
A “Cold Deck” means that no matter how well you played a hand, the way the cards fell meant that there’s nothing you could have done to win and you were destined to take a big loss.
An example would be getting dealt pocket Kings in the deep stage of a tournament, while someone else is dealt pocket Aces. You ended up in a position where you faced the only hand in Poker that put you in a weak position.
March 2025 felt very much like that.
It was the unluckiest month of my 15 year betting career.
Despite this, we handled the extreme level of bad luck really well and consistently placed really strong bets. We actually went on two winning streaks, going 5-0 on bets each time. This meant that we didn’t lose that much, but the substantial amount of bad beats that we suffered made it impossible for us to make a profit.
In this video, I have documented all of our bad beats with video clips and stats, so that in the future, when we inevitably have another unlucky month, we can look back at March 2025 and see that this is not our first rodeo. We can see that we’ve been here before, we got past it and that everything is going to be ok!
