I was expecting Sheldon Westcott to be a pretty big favourite in this fight, so I was shocked when I saw the odds on him to win were as high as 2.30 | +130 | 13/10!
If you didn’t watch this season of the Ultimate Fighter, I urge you to go back and watch Westcott’s fights. He looked incredible. He completely walked through each of his opponents and he did it whilst being injured for the entire season! It’s also worth noting that his team mates would regularly comment on how he was a beast in training and how he would dominate each of them on a regular basis.
Elias Theodorou also looked great, but he didn’t show us anything that would suggest he was capable of beating Westcott. On the other hand Westcott showed a maurauding style that could be used to finish fights or overwhelm his opponents.
Westcott and Theodorou are similar in many ways, but what separates them is Westcott’s aggression and his ability to finish his opponents. This Killer Instinct is also the reason why Sheldon Westcott is going to win this fight and become the next Ultimate Fighter.
Out of all the fights on the TUF Nations Finale, this is the one I’m most looking forward to. Very few contestants on the Ultimate Fighter have excited me as much as Sheldon Westcott and I’m really looking forward to seeing how far he can go in the UFC.
