UFC Betting Tips For UFC Fight Night 33 - Mark Hunt v Antonio Silva

Dana White said in an interview this week that Mark Hunt is one of the best stories in professional sports. You’d have to agree with him considering Hunt gets labelled as an underdog in almost all of his fights and yet he keeps on winning. It doesn’t seem matter who he’s facing or what the odds are against him, he just knows how to win and all roads point to another victory against Antonio Silva on Friday Night. Prior to Hunt’s last fight, a knock out loss to Junior Dos Santos, the “Super Samoan” was on an incredible 4 fight win streak. Any win streak in the UFC’s Heavyweight division is impressive and he’ll certainly be looking to get back to winning ways against Antonio Silva, who has faced his own adversity after suffering two devastating losses to Cain Velasquez. OUR VERDICT…

Normally when studying a fighters chances of winning, we would comment on reach advantages. In this fight Antonio Silva has a significant reach advantage over Mark Hunt, but when you consider Hunt’s knock out victory over the 6 ft 7 tall Stefan Struve it doesn’t seem like reach advantages make a difference when the “Super Samoan” is involved. Mark Hunt has an unbelievable ability to knock out his opponents and Antonio Silva is very vulnerable to being knocked out. He’s also a big target for the accurate striking of Hunt. With home advantage on his side and Silva’s questionable chin, we’re going to go for Mark Hunt in this fight. It’s certainly not nailed on like some of our other predictions from UFC Fight Night 33, but at decent odds Mark Hunt is definitely good value, considering he has performed really well in similar style match ups in the past.
