MICHAEL BISPING vs CB DOLLAWAY
Before I started to research this fight, I felt that CB Dollaway would be a good bet at underdog odds. Afterall, Bisping has struggled against wrestlers in the past and he appears to be on the decline… After watching a lot of footage on both guys, I now lean towards Bisping winning, but I don’t feel confident enough to place a bet on him at the current odds. The person who wins this fight will be the person who can implement their gameplan the best and it’s impossible to tell from past performances who that person will be. The problem with picking a winner in this fight, is that both guys have huge weaknesses, that the other guy can exploit… For example; Dollaway is very slow and he has very basic striking, so I can definitely see Bisping picking up an easy decision win by out-striking him for 3 rounds. At the same time, I can see Dollaway stealing 2 out of 3 rounds with takedowns and grinding out an ugly decision win. Bisping’s takedown defence is pretty good, but he struggles to get back to his feet when he does get taken down. This means that Dollaway only has to complete one takedown per round to have a big influence on the judges scorecards. The recurring theme in both those likely scenarios is that the fight goes the distance, no matter who manages to implement their gameplan effectively. As a result, I may not be able to pick a winner out of Bisping and Dollaway, but I do feel very confident that this fight will last longer than 2.5 rounds. Michael Bisping and CB Dollaway are both tough and they’re both well rounded and I feel it’s very unlikely that either guy will win this fight inside the distance. I feel that a bet on this fight to last longer than 2.5 rounds is a solid play. BRYAN BARBERENA vs CHAD LAPRISE
Chad Laprise is the exact type of fighter I love to bet on because he’s well rounded and he always shows up and performs to his full potential. His ruthless consistency has helped him put together an impressive MMA record of 10-0 and I expect him to extend that record to 11-0 by picking up an easy win against Bryan Barberena. Laprise is simply too fast, too technical and too well rounded for Barberena. Laprise also has rock solid takedown defence, he’s extremely aggressive and he throws a very high volume of strikes. Laprise will push forward, take the centre of the Octagon and pick Barberena apart until he scores a knockout or unanimous decision victory. This fight won’t be close. This is an easy match up for Chad Laprise… [adrotate group=”132″]MY BETTING TIP: 5 Units [5% of your bankroll] on Chad Laprise to win at odds of 1.30 | -333 | 3/10
