Travis Browne has had an extremely tough road to the top of the UFC’s Heavyweight division, as he has fought some of the toughest guys in the world. Despite the adversity, Browne has only lost once in the UFC at the hands of Antonio Silva. Browne hasn’t fought any fighters with the wrestling ability of Barnett, but his reach advantage and superior striking should be able to keep Barnett on the outside and make it very difficult for Barnett to get close enough to take him down. If Barnett does manage to take him down, he has a significant size advantage that should make it easy for him to work his way back to his feet. We don’t know a lot about Travis Browne’s ground game, as we’ve never seen it, but Travis Browne is a Greg Jackson fighter and you can count on him being prepared for anything that Josh Barnett can throw at him. In my opinion Travis Browne has already fought and beaten tougher guys than Josh Barnett, who is relatively unproven at this level. This is a great opportunity for us to cash in on very generous odds.
