UFC Fight Night 54 is a tough event to bet on because the entire card features either big favourites with consistency issues or big underdogs with huge holes in their game.
Despite these challenges, I’ve identified 2 excellent Premium Betting Tips that I’m very confident will return us a profit. We’ve now made a profit in the last 7 UFC events and we have several excellent betting tips for this weekend that are going to help us to keep this winning run going.
Don’t forget that there are two events in one day on October the 4th and UFC Fight Night 54 takes place just a couple of hours after UFC Fight Night 53.

CHAD LAPRISE vs YOSDENIS CEDENO
Chad Laprise is a huge favourite against Yosdenis Cedeno but I think this fight will be very close.
Whilst I don’t favour either guy enough to bet on them to win, I am very confident that this fight will last longer 2.5 rounds.
Chad Laprise and Yosdenis Cedeno match up pretty well and they both have similar styles. I can see this fight turning into a kickboxing match and the guy who can land the most strikes is probably going to win.
Both these guys have good footwork and striking defence and they both lack finishing power, which makes a bet on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds a smart move.
Chad Laprise’s last 3 fights have all gone to a decision and Cedeno has also fought to a decision in 3 out of his last 4 fights making another decision in this fight very likely.
Neither of these guys are very aggressive and their lack of finishing power and preferrence to counter strike should result in this fight going the distance…
OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds at odds of 1.65 | -153 | 13/20

ALBERT TUMENOV vs MATT DWYER
Matt Dwyer is an exciting young fighter who likes to block punches with his face. You’re never going to see Matt Dwyer in a boring fight, but you’re also never going to see him beat anyone who can actually strike. You really have to wonder if he fully understands what referees mean when they say “Protect yourself at all times” and “Intelligently defend yourself”.
I love watching Matt Dwyer fight, but he has no striking defence and he’s easier to hit than a punchbag.
Dwyer has a huge reach advantage over almost every Welterweight on the planet but he has no clue how to use it. He frequently gets picked apart by guys with absolutely no striking skills and even a 42 year old Shonie Carter managed to land some big strikes on him a couple of fights ago.
You only have to watch his last fight against Damarques Johnson to see what I mean. It’s a great fight, but Johnson repeatedly tags him with big punches, even when it appears like Johnson’s cardio is completely shot.
Albert Tumenov is the exact opposite of Matt Dwyer, because he has great striking defence and he throws accurate punches and kicks with huge power behind them.
Checkout Tumenov’s last fight against Anthony Lapsley…
Did you notice how technical and accurate Tumenov’s striking is? Now imagine Matt Dwyer in there with him…
Dwyer has shown an ability to knock his opponents down with strikes, but his knockdowns mainly occur as a result of his opponents having poor cardio or Dwyer’s ability to overwhelm his opponents and land multiple strikes. He won’t be able to land a flurry of strikes on Tumenov, because Tumenov’s striking defence is too good and at 22 years old Tumenov also has an excellent chin.
Tumenov should have no problem picking apart Matt Dwyer with his more technical striking. I would be very surprised to see this fight go the distance and I expect Tumenov to win by knockout or TKO.
Albert Tumenov should destroy Matt Dwyer. Bet 20 units on the Russian to win…
OUR BETTING TIP: 20.00 Units on Albert Tumenov to win at odds of 1.40 | -250 | 2/5
