I’ve researched every fight at KSW 29 and found one fighter who has a clear advantage over his opponent. I almost had video footage to back this betting tip up, but Youtube removed all the full fight footage of KSW match ups just before I went to publish this tip. As a result, you’re going to have to take a leap of faith with me on this one, but trust me, there’s a real good chance that this bet will win…

JAY SILVA vs PIOTR STRUS
Jay Silva has an unimpressive MMA record of 9-9 but most of his losses have come against UFC level opposition. He’s one of those guys that has failed to make the step up to the big leagues, but he’s still a decent fighter at regional level. He also has experience fighting in Bellator and the UFC.
Piotr Strus has a more impressive record of 9-3, but Strus has spent the majority of his career fighting low level opposition in small MMA promotions in Poland.
This fight will most likely be a stand up fight which will suit Jay Silva, because he is a much better striker than Piotr Strus. Silva has good technique, he’s also rangey and he’s a lot faster than Strus. He also has knock out power and Strus has poor striking defence which will leave him wide open to Silva’s power punches.
Jay Silva and Piotr Strus both lack take down defence, but that shouldn’t be too much of a factor in this fight because they both like to strike. Silva has a decent ground game and I’m not too concerned with him getting out grappled by Strus.
Strus shows all the signs of an inexperienced fighter who trains in a low level MMA gym. His technique is clunky and awkward and his footwork and head movement is basic. An experienced striker like Silva should light him up and I can definitely see Silva winning this fight by knockout.
I also like how Silva fights out of the Southpaw stance. Strus trains at a small MMA gym in Poland and he’s only ever competed in small regional MMA promotions. It’s unlikely that he has ever fought or trained with an accomplished Southpaw fighter and he’s probably going to find it very difficult to cope with Silva’s style.
My one criticism of Silva, is that he is a little chinny, but Strus doesn’t have knock out power and he’s a pretty basic striker. Silva also fights out of the Southpaw stance which means he’ll naturally be moving away from Strus’ power right hand. This should make it a lot less difficult for Strus to land significant strikes.
Skill for skill, I don’t give Strus much of a chance of winning this fight and at face value the odds on Silva look like a steal. I’m a little concerned that Strus will have home advantage on his side, but I also think that this bet is worth the risk when you take into consideration the fact that Silva is a significantly better fighter. I really don’t give Strus much of a chance here and I can definitely see Silva knocking him out.
