CHRIS INDICH vs VIK GRUJIC

Chris Indich and Vik Grujic are two tough fighters who lack finishing power. This is sure to be an entertaining fight, but I don’t see it ending inside the distance.

OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds at odds of 1.67 | -149 | 67/100

CHARLES OLIVEIRA vs HATSU HIOKI

This is a great match up for Charles Oliveira and I don’t see any way that he can lose. He is faster, more aggressive and a much better fighter than Hatsu Hioki.

Hatsu Hioki’s only hope of winning this fight, is to control Oliveira on the ground, but this will be extremely difficult to do, because Oliveira has World Class Jiu Jitsu with good take down defence.

Oliveira will probably want to keep this fight standing and I doubt that Hioki will be able to take him down. As a result, this fight will probably be contested standing up, which will suit Oliveira, who is a much better striker.

Hatsu Hioki also has really bad striking defence. This was demonstrated in his last fight against Ivan Menjivar, who was able to repeatedly land big punches on Hioki, despite Hioki having a 9 inch reach advantage. Hioki also showed poor fight IQ in this match up, because he seemed reluctant to take Menjivar down, despite having a big advantage on the ground.

Hioki’s inability to use his range and fight to his strengths will cost him against an aggressive fighter like Charles Oliveira. The odds of 1.59 | -169 | 59/100 on Oliveira to win are excellent value, making this one of the best bets of the year.

OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on Charles Oliveira to win at odds of 1.59 | -169 | 59/100

JARED ROSHOLT vs SOA PALELEI

Soa Palelei’s fighting style is simple. He looks to take his opponents down, gain top control and finish them with devastating ground and pound. This strategy is highly effective against fighters who have poor take down defence, but it’s not that effective against guys who have good wrestling…

Jared Rosholt has excellent wrestling and he used to be one of Brock Lesnar’s training partners. Soa Palelei is going to find it really difficult to take this fight to the ground, because Rosholt is younger, stronger and more technically gifted.

The UFC’s matchmakers have been kind to Palelei, because they have repeatedly matched him up with opponents who have poor take down defence. This has created the false perception that Palelei is a devastating fighter with incredible power, when he’s actually a very one dimensional fighter who has poor striking, bad cardio and no Jiu Jitsu.

Palelei’s bad cardio is going to cost him in this fight, because Rosholt has pretty decent cardio for a Heavyweight and he’s had no problem fighting to a decision in his last two match ups. Rosholt also has a really good chin, which will help him survive the early pressure that Palelei is likely to put on him.

Age is also another big factor that will influence the outcome of this fight. The younger fighter wins around 70% of the time when there is a 9 year age gap in a fight and Jared Rosholt is 9 years younger than Palelei.

You should also place a bet on this fight to go over 1.5 rounds. This might sound crazy, but it’s actually a really good value bet with inflated odds, due to the fact that Palelei’s fights normally finish in the first two rounds. Betting on this fight to go over 1.5 rounds is a really smart bet, because Palelei won’t be able to take Rosholt down and Rosholt is a tentative striker that isn’t known for his knockout power.

I believe the first round of this fight will consist mainly of clinch work, as both guys try to battle for position. A bet on this fight to go over 1.5 rounds at odds of 2.20 | +120 | 6/5 is an absolute steal!

OUR FIRST BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on Jared Rosholt to win at odds of 1.69 | -144 | 69/100
OUR SECOND BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on this fight to go over 1.5 rounds at odds of 2.20 | +120 | 6/5
