No way, that makes no sense at all. Gustafsson has surely more chances to win, that 4.00 odds say.
What are you talking about?
I mean you shouldn’t bet Cormier at 1.30. That just makes no sense. Jones struggled to take Swede down, only managed once in 11 attemps. It won’t be an easy fight for Cormier, so betting him at 1.30 seems crazy. Gustafsson has everything, to outstrike Cormier on the feet, the only question is how long can he defend the takedowns.
I agree mate. Gustafsson’s takedown defence is excellent and he has a big advantage standing up.
I had a big personal bet on Werdum to beat Velasquez, but I pussied out of tipping it because I didn’t think people would take it seriously. I won’t make the same mistake again.
Gustafsson is a great bet here.
Gustafsson got beat by Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis so Gustafsson he went to Phils gym after the fight and trained with him. The result was great take down defence.

If they are then surely Northcutt has been given a handpicked easy debut opponent?

I am just writing up my breakdowns now which includes the fight between Jouban and Tumenov. A lot of people are asking me why I’m not betting on Sage Northcutt, so I am going to writeup a breakdown on that fight too so that you can understand how I feel about that fight.

I got in on Norcutt when he was -250 for $100. I would say he is still a good lock at -400. Norcutt looks like a phenom on the talent search show with dana thats new on fightpass plus Trevino is one of the worst fighters I have seen in the ufc.
I am dissapointed with your change from “no bet” into “Tumenov”. When Jouban wins by submission I will have to think “damn, Allsopp lost this one”. :heart:
Bro, Jouban is not a finesher, he has ground game just to survive. I predict a easy decision for Tumenov…
I like Norcutt, just because Trevino’s style ( very agressive to beat a good karate fighter ) and because Norcutt is better on ground too.

I just predict he will hurt Tumenow and choke him out, the Russian is absorbing too many kicks to the body. His ground game is really nice, just his wrestling (used to) sucks.

In the Early Bird articles I list each bet as either “Still researching” or “No bet”.
If you see “Still researching”, it means that I might bet on this fight when I finish my research. If you see “No bet” next to a fight, it means I’ve finished my research and I won’t be betting on that fight.
