In 2014 we established ourselves as the number 1 provider of MMA betting tips, by finishing the year with more profit than any other MMA betting service. Now that we have established ourselves as the number 1 MMA betting website, I want you to be able to measure our performance against similar services that offer betting tips for other sports. As a result, I have changed the way we use betting units, so that our unit sizes more closely resemble the way in which betting units are used throughout the world of Sports betting. This means that 1 unit will now represent 1% of your bankroll and whilst the numbers we work with may seem lower than usual, the financial losses and gains will remain the same.
I have added a betting calculator to the sidebar of this website, to make it easy for you to calculate how much money you should bet on each of our betting tips. To work out your stake, all you need to do is enter the size of your bankroll and then the number of units that I recommend betting. This betting calculator will help you manage your bankroll better and enable you to grow your bankroll to a point where you can start earning a consistent income from betting on MMA.

JON JONES vs DANIEL CORMIER
Size matters in MMA and when you see Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier stood next to each other, it looks like they are a couple of weight classes apart…
Jon Jones towers over Daniel Cormier and this clear size difference equates to a staggering 12 inch reach advantage for Jones. Fighting against someone who has a 12 inch reach advantage, is like fighting a guy with a baseball bat and we all know who normally wins those fights… Few fighters use their range better than Jon Jones and it’s going to be really difficult for Cormier to get inside Jon’s reach without taking significant damage.
Daniel Cormier is currently undefeated at 15-0 and whilst I don’t want to discredit his achievements, you’d be crazy not to at least consider the fact that Cormier has had an easier route to the top of the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division than most…
This table contains a full list of every single one of Cormier’s fights in Strikeforce and the UFC. I’ve added the ages of his opponents at the time of the fight in red. Aside from Jason Riley, Cormier has never fought anyone under the age of 33. It’s also worth noting that whilst Cormier may have some big wins on his record, he only beat those big names when they were on their decline.
Age is an important factor to consider in MMA betting, because athletes start to rapidly decline when they hit the age of 32. Daniel Cormier is now 35 years old and Jon Jones is 8 years younger at 27. The younger fighter wins around 70% of the time when there is an 8 year age gap in a fight and that’s not taking into account all the other advantages that Jones has.
You can only ever beat what is put in front of you and Cormier has looked impressive in each of his fights, but the average age of his opponents in the UFC and Strikeforce is 35.8 years old. This means that he has only ever competed against fighters who were on the decline.
There’s no question that Cormier has better wrestling that Jones, but the 12 inch reach advantage will make it really hard for him to shoot in and land takedowns.
Cormier’s strategy in many of his fights has been to tie his opponents up and work them against the cage. This will be a difficult strategy to use against Jones, because Jones is an absolute beast in the clinch. If Cormier does manage to clinch with Jones, it’s going to be very hard for him to avoid the Champ’s vicious elbows.
Cormier has excellent Boxing, but Jon Jones has a clear advantage when it comes to striking. He’s faster, he’s unorthodox and he throws a much wider variety of strikes. He also does a great job of fighting long, which makes it extremely hard for his opponents to get inside and land anything significant.
Jon Jones has never fought a guy like Daniel Cormier, who fights extremely aggressively and constantly looks to push the pace of a fight. Some fighters break under this pressure, but it’s tough to see how Cormier will be able to successfully employ this strategy for 25 minutes without getting badly hurt.
It’s also possible that Cormier could grind out an ugly decision win, but you have to remember that this fight is taking place in Las Vegas and the Nevada State Athletic Commission now seem to favour striking and damage over Octagon control. You’d have to be a mad man to think Cormier could land more damage on Jones and Nevada’s tendency to favour striking and damage only leads me to believe that Cormier’s chances of winning this fight are even slimmer.
Jon Jones has several huge advantages over Daniel Cormier and I recommend that you place a large 10 unit bet [10% of your bankroll] on him to win.
