[adrotate group=”25″]We made a total profit of 9.10 Units from our bets on the Ultimate Fighter Finale China, which takes our total profit for the year up to 32.50 Units.
This is the 4th event in a row that we’ve banked a profit and we’re going to keep it going for next week’s UFC Fight Night event in London.
The line up of fights on this card lacked big name UFC fighters, but it still turned out to be a great event with some excellent fights. It’s just a shame John Hathaway lost. He’s British and we’d love to see more British fighters competing at the top of the UFC!
Last week we set up an MMA Betting Forum, so that we can all discuss ways to make even more money from betting on MMA. It would be great if you guys could sign up and join in some of the discussions. If we all start using the forum regularly, we can share ideas and hopefully help each other increase our profits. Please click here to visit the forum.
Now lets take a look at how each of our bets played out…

NAM PHAN vs VAUGHAN LEE
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on the fight to go over 2.5 rounds at 1.57 | -175 | 57/100
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 5.70 Units Profit
Not only did we win this bet, but it also played out exactly how we said it would. Nam Phan and Vaughan Lee are exciting fighters to watch, but they lack finishing power.
We said that these guys would stand and trade punches for 15 minutes and that’s exactly what happened. This bet was the easiest money of the night.
WE CORRECTLY PREDICTED THIS FIGHT TO GO OVER 2.5 ROUNDS

KAZUKI TOKUDOME vs YUI CHUL NAM
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on the fight to go over 2.5 rounds at 1.57 | -175 | 57/100
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 5.70 Units Profit
Both these guys have fought to a lot of decisions throughout their careers, but you’d never have guessed it whilst watching the first round of this fight. Nam dropped Tokudome with strikes 5 times in the first round and it was a miracle that this fight made it to the 2nd round.
Eventually the fight settled down and went to a decision.
WE CORRECTLY PREDICTED THIS FIGHT TO GO OVER 2.5 ROUNDS

HATSU HIOKI vs IVAN MENJIVAR
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on the fight to go over 2.5 rounds at 1.57 | -175 | 57/100
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 5.70 Units Profit
Hatsu Hioki looked terrible in this fight. He had a 9 inch reach advantage over Menjivar and got out-boxed by a midget!
Still, we didn’t care who won this fight. Our bet was on this fight to go over 2.5 rounds and it did!
WE CORRECTLY PREDICTED THIS FIGHT TO GO OVER 2.5 ROUNDS

MATT MITRIONE vs SHAWN JORDAN
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on Shawn Jordan to win @ 1.80 | -125 | 4/5
OUR COVER BET: 20 Units on the fight to last less than 2.5 rounds @ 1.60 | -167 | 3/5
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 2.00 Units Profit
This was always going to be a risky bet, but we felt like Shawn Jordan had more ways to win. Whenever we want to place money on a risky bet, we always make sure that we place an additional cover bet, to minimise any losses.
Our cover bet did it’s job, as we still ended up making a 2 Units profit on this fight, despite Shawn Jordan getting knocked out in the very last second of the first round.
WE CORRECTLY PREDICTED THIS FIGHT TO GO UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS

DONG HYUN KIM vs JOHN HATHAWAY
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on the fight to go over 4.5 rounds @ 1.60 | -167 | 3/5
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 10.00 Units lost
I’m gutted that Hathaway lost this fight, because I want to see more British fighters doing well in the UFC. Hathaway fought a good fight, but Kim always looked more dangerous and finished him with a stunning elbow knock out.
Hathaway looked good after an 18 month injury lay off and it’s going to be interesting to see how he starts to perform when he is fighting more regularly in the Octagon. Both these guys have fought to loads of decisions. But we got this one wrong…
