[adrotate group=”25″]Professional gambling is all about consistently making the right decisions and turning a profit over a long period of time. Experience helps you get through any periods when you suffer losses and it’s important to understand that “you can’t win them all”.
We’ve now failed to make a profit in our last three events, but when you look back over the decisions we’ve made, you can see that we’ve consistently made the right decisions in all 3 events.
Our small loss at UFC Fight Night 38 summed up the kind of bad luck we’ve been having recently. Norman Parke was robbed of a win by dodgy judging and even more dodgy refereeing. Had Norman Parke been granted the win he rightly deserved, we would’ve actually made a profit on this event.
Another important aspect of professional gambling is minimizing any losses and I feel like we’ve done that with this event. The small loss of just 4.50 units doesn’t put too much of a dent in our bankroll and I’m really looking forward to getting back on track with a win for UFC Fight Night 39.
Now lets take a look at how each of my bets played out…

RONY JASON vs STEVEN SILER
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on Rony Jason to win at 1.55 | -183 | 6/11
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 5.50 Units Won
I feel bad for Steven Siler because this fight was stopped way too early. It was the same stupid referee that took a point off Norman Parke and allowed Scott Jorgensen get knocked down with a headbutt. I don’t feel it would have changed the outcome of the fight, but Siler is tough as nails and he should have been allowed to continue.
Rony Jason had an advantage over Steven Siler in almost any area this fight could take place and this fight played out exactly how we said it would…
WE CORRECTLY PREDICTED THAT RONY JASON WOULD WIN THIS FIGHT

NORMAN PARKE vs LEONARDO SANTOS
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on Norman Parke to win at 1.45 | -220 | 5/11
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: Break Even
I’ve been watching MMA for a long time and I can safely say that this fight suffered some of the most corrupt judging and refereeing I have ever seen. I think that the judges and referees that officiated this fight should be investigated. The deck was heavily stacked against Norman Parke in this fight.
In the first round Norman Parke was poked in the eye by Leonardo Santos and the referee did nothing. Then, in the second round, Norman Parke grabbed Santos’ shorts for a split second and was deducted a point without warning. Now I’m not sure if it’s different in Brazil, but where I’m from an eye poke would be considered a much more serious foul than grabbing onto someone’s shorts!!!
Parke went on to completely control Santos in the second and third rounds of this fight, but his performance was only good enough to earn him a majority draw. One judge even scored the fight in favour of Santos, which I find truly disgusting. Surely this has to be investigated?
Even though we predicted that Norman Parke would win this fight [which he kind of did], the fight ended a draw, which means you get your money back. We broke even on this one, but we did correctly predict that Parke would dominate Santos.
THIS FIGHT WAS A DRAW

DAN HENDERSON vs MAURICIO “SHOGUN” RUA
OUR BET: 10.00 Units on Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to win at 1.50 | -200 | 1/2
OUR PROFIT / LOSS: 10.00 Units Lost
Dan “I stick needles in my ass” Henderson defied all odds on Sunday night when he defeated Shogun with a knock down blow.
I don’t often swear in my articles, but this fight was absolute bullshit. I am EXTREMELY happy that TRT is gone and we will never have to deal with juiced up fighters and their ungodly power ever again.
People might feel I’m being a little harsh on a “legend”, but I honestly have no time for cheaters. There’s no way that a 44 year old man, with grey hair should be able to get knocked down with punches twice and recover so fast that they are able to knock down another fighter with a powerful punch less than 5 minutes later. It’s absolute bullshit and it’s cheating.
Dan Henderson didn’t win this fight, performance enhancing drugs did.
This was Dan’s last ever fight using TRT and it will be very interesting to see how he performs in the future without it…
RANT OVER…
WE INCORRECTLY PREDICTED THAT MAURICIO “SHOGUN” RUA WOULD WIN THIS FIGHT
