UFC Betting Tips For UFC 167 - Chael Sonnen v Rashad Evans

Two friends meet in the Octagon on Saturday night as Chael Sonnen takes on Rashad Evans in the co main event of UFC 167. Rashad goes into this fight on the back of a split decision win over Dan Henderson. Whilst Chael Sonnen beat Shogun Rua in his last fight with a guillotine choke submission. This match up doesn’t have that much significance for either fighter but Rashad will desperately want to pick up some momentum after some disappointing performances in the Octagon recently. Sonnen on the other hand already knows what’s next for him as he will be coaching the next season of the Ultimate Fighter Brazil against Wanderlai Silva. [divider]

OUR VERDICT…

Rashad has excellent wrestling with superb take down defence. This is going to be a big problem for Chael as he likes to take his opponents down and wear them out. Even if Chael does get lucky and manages to take Rashad down, then it’s going to be really difficult to keep him there, given his strength and explosiveness. This is a really tough fight for Chael Sonnen and I can’t see any way that he wins this fight. He’s even admitted in several interviews this week that Rashad is better in almost every area than him. He won’t be able to take Rashad down and Rashad has much better striking than him. Chael has never knocked anyone out and there’s just no way he can win this fight unless something crazy happens… RASHAD EVANS TO WIN[divider]
