The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale is an excellent event for Live Betting. I am very excited for this one. This feels like Christmas Eve when I was a kid…
When you have an event full of squash matches and Heavyweight fights, they tend to be bad for Live Betting because we don’t see many momentum swings and we often see quick finishes in these types of matchups. This means that we don’t get many opportunities to live bet because dominant performances mean bad odds and fast finishes often mean that we don’t get an opportunity to place bets.
The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale is the complete opposite of this type of event. It is perfect for Live Betting because it features 8 female fights. Women’s MMA fights tend to go the distance much more frequently then Men’s fights, which means we are going to get a lot of opportunities to anticipate momentum swings and live bet this card.
The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale is also an excellent event for Live Betting because it features 2 fights in the men’s Bantamweight division. Both these fights should be very competitive, which means we have at least 10 golden opportunities to make money on this card.
I urge you to join us for our Live Betting Tips this weekend. Over the last few years, we’ve made massive profits on the weekend’s where there is more than 1 UFC event. If you haven’t signed up for an Elite Membership yet, do it in time for tonight. You won’t regret it.

Barb Honchak vs Lauren Murphy Betting Tip and Prediction
Barb Honchak is better than Lauren Murphy in every single aspect of MMA. She is a more technical striker, she hits harder, and she throws a much more diverse range of strikes. When it comes to grappling she has a higher level ground game, she’s stronger in the clinch and also has stronger wrestling. For these reasons, I believe Honchak is a good bet at the current odds of around 1.50 | -200 | 1/2. I recommend shopping around for the best odds on Honchak because they currently differ by quite a bit across the various different betting websites.
The only concerns I have over betting on Barb Honchak is the fact that she retired prior to competing on season 26 of the Ultimate Fighter and also that she is now 38 years old.
You can never feel totally confident betting on a 38-year-old fighter who is coming back to MMA after retiring, but Honchak showed me a lot of things on season 26 of the Ultimate Fighter which gives me a great deal of confidence in her. The first thing I was impressed by was her athleticism. She looked powerful, strong and explosive on the show and she also looked great at last night’s weigh-ins. I was also impressed by her performances against Gillian Robertson and Nicco Montano. I was particularly impressed by her performance against Montano because the fight was an absolute war and Honchak didn’t slow down for the entire 15 minutes. Honchak was so close to winning that fight, and if things would have played out slightly differently, she would now be fighting for the title against Roxanne Modafferi. I was also impressed by Honchak’s post-fight interview that she gave after losing to Montano. In situations like this where a fighter has suffered a devastating loss on the show, we often see them question if they are going to continue competing in the sport. Not Barb. She was clearly upset, but with 100% conviction in her voice, she said that she was going to get back to training and learn new things to improve and come back stronger. I was very impressed that a 38-year-old fighter had this much determination and conviction in her attitude after losing such a big fight.
I also really like Barb Honchak because she is very intelligent. She holds a degree in Ecological Genetics, and she possesses excellent fight IQ. Honchak was also the Invicta FC Flyweight Champion and entered the Ultimate Fighter 26 competition on the back of a 9 fight winning streak. Her only loss in the last 6 years was a razor close decision loss to the eventual show finalist, Nicco Montano.
Skill for skill Honchak should win this fight. It won’t be easy because Lauren Murphy is very tough, but Honchak has the skills to outclass her in any area that this fight could take place. If it stays standing, Honchak can gain the upper hand with her superior striking technique and power and if it goes to the ground Honchak has a much higher level ground game. I do expect the majority of this fight to take place in the clinch, a position where both girls feel the most comfortable and if this happens I also give Honchak a significant advantage because she is stronger and more technical in this position. Honchak also does a much better job of landing strikes in the clinch position and taking her opponent’s down from the clinch.
Barb Honchak is an intelligent woman and an intelligent fighter. Even though she lost to Nicco Montano on the show, she knows that it was a close fight and she knows that she could win if she made a few adjustments. She also knows that she is a nightmare opponent for Roxanne Modafferi and would most likely dominate her if they fought. Nicco Montano and Roxanne Modafferi are fighting for the UFC Flyweight title on Friday night, but Honchak knows she is in a great position to fight and beat the winner of that matchup. Honchak is in touching distance of the UFC title and I don’t expect her to blow that opportunity by losing to a low-level opponent like Lauren Murphy.
Barb Honchak is old for an MMA fighter and she’s coming back from retiring, but she’s still in great shape and she is still one of the best female fighters in the world. I expect her to win this fight and be next in line for a title shot.
