The curse of Bellator continues…
I research Bellator events just like I research every other MMA event, but no matter how much research I put into my tips, the fighters I pick to win consistently fail to fight to their full potential.
I had a clear strategy to ensure we made a profit on this event…
I bet enough money on Pat Curran to win, with the intention of using our winnings from that bet to freeroll on our bet on Alexander Shlemenko. Pat Curran ended up losing, which meant that we made an overall loss of 2.75 units.
Pat Curran showed in his recent fights against Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and Daniel Straus, that he is a far better fighter than Daniel Weichel and yet he failed to show up and perform in a fight that would have put him right back into title contention had he won. These kinds of bets are really frustrating to lose, because Pat Curran is capable of so much more than he showed against Weichel.
Alexander Shlemenko looked great against Melvin Manhoef, but his impressive performance wasn’t enough to save us from making a loss on this event…
