I live in the UK and I follow European MMA very closely. I get really excited whenever the UFC holds an event in Europe and I tend to do quite well when I bet on European events because I follow the careers of European fighters very closely…
Having a bunch of relatively unknown fighters competing on a UFC card can often present us with some good opportunities to make money, but UFC Fight Night Krakow is not a good event for betting. This card is packed full of low level fighters, inexperienced prospects and inconsistent veterans. There aren’t many athletes competing on this card that I’d trust my money with, so I’m going to play this event safe, make a little money and move onto the next one.
This means that I’ve only got 3 betting tips for UFC Fight Night Krakow, but I do feel really confident that each of them are going to win. Don’t forget that Bellator 136 and WSOF 20 also take place this weekend and I should have betting tips for both of those events. You can gain instant access to all of my betting tips for these events for just $9.99. Click here for more information.

GABRIEL GONZAGA vs MIRKO “CRO COP” FILIPIC
Mirko Cro Cop didn’t look good when he was fighting in the UFC 4 years ago and at 40 years old he doesn’t look any better now. The re-signing of Cro Cop by the UFC is a very strange move because he isn’t a charismatic character, he doesn’t put on exciting fights and he isn’t going to beat any of the top Heavyweights in the division. Gabriel Gonzaga is by no means an elite fighter, but he should have no problem beating Mirko Cro Cop.
Cro Cop used to be an incredible fighter, but athletes start to rapidly decline when they hit the age of 33 and Cro Cop is 10 years past his prime. Before I go any further in this betting tip, I want you to take a look at how Cro Cop has performed in his last few fights…
As you can see, Cro Cop is slow, flat footed and one dimensional. He also has poor takedown defence and a non existent ground game. Gabriel Gonzaga has solid striking defence and a 3 inch reach advantage. He should be able to keep the stand up exchanges competitive, before taking Cro Cop down and dominating him on the ground. Cro Cop doesn’t have the footwork or athleticism to avoid getting taken down and I predict Gonzaga will win this fight by ground and pound or submission within the 1st or 2nd round.
I am a big fan of Mirko Cro Cop but there aren’t many 40 year old fighters competing in the UFC for a reason. You cannot cheat mother nature and this is a young man’s sport. I expect Gabriel Gonzaga to dominate this fight…
