Abbasov shot in for a takedown, Santos caught him with a vicious left knee and Abbasov went down holding his ribs and tapping the canvas. Santos walked off with his hands raised in victory before the referee had time to realise what had just happened.
It came to light this week that Luis Santos actually beat the eventual winner of season 2 of the Ultimate Fighter Brazil, but never actually made it to the Ultimate Fighter house due to contract issues with Bellator. Santos is a legit threat to Ben Askren’s Welterweight title and you really have to wonder why such a talented and exciting fighter is not competing in the UFC.
