Professional Fight League gives us an exciting opportunity to make money because the $1 million prize pool up for grabs for each of the tournament winners surely means that the fighters are going to show up and perform to their full potential. I doubt we will see passive, flakey, inconsistent performances when there is so much money on the line.
I am still researching UFC Fight Night 132, which takes place this weekend in Singapore. At this point, I don’t have any prefight bets, but that may change over the next couple of days if the odds improve on certain fighters or if any new information comes to light after the weigh-ins.
I have checked the BT Sport TV listings which usually give us a good indication of which fights will be available for Live Betting. Unfortunately, it appears that they are only televising the Main Card, which probably means that we will only be able to Live Bet the Main Card fights this weekend. This is disappointing, but I am still confident that we will grind out a profit.

Ronny Markes vs Sean O’Connell Betting Tip and Prediction
When I started to scan through the fights taking place at PFL 2, Sean O’Connell was the first name that jumped out at me. Imagine my surprise when I checked the odds and found that he was a massive underdog!
I will be straight with you. The odds on this fight are very wrong. Whoever set them has not done their homework. This is about as close to a 50 / 50 fight as you are ever going to see. The bookies have made a massive mistake capping this fight.
There is no way in this universe that Sean O’Connell should be a big underdog to a guy like Ronny Markes, but that doesn’t automatically mean that he will win. This is a real 50 / 50 fight where O’Connell will have a significant advantage standing up, and Markes will have a considerable advantage on the ground.
It is very possible that O’Connell could get taken down, laid and prayed and lose this fight 30-27. It’s also equally likely that O’Connell lands a bomb on Ronny’s chin and flatlines him in under 30 seconds. If you tail this bet, you have to be prepared to lose. This bet is a coin flip and there’s a 50% chance that O’Connell might get dominated, but in my opinion, the risk is worth the reward at the current odds.
If you spend an hour researching this fight, it won’t take you long to see why I am recommending a bet on Sean O’Connell. He is a fearless warrior with a granite chin, more heart than 99% of people on earth and he also has the cardio to fight at a high pace and break his opponents. In contrast, Markes has all the technical ability in the world, but he does not have the mentality to use it. Markes is a perennial quitter. He will often quit if you hurt him or put him in a bad position.
Standing up O’Connell will have a massive advantage. Markes is an awkward, nervous striker who does not like to get hit. He has non-existent striking defense, and he’s essentially a static target. O’Connell has a base in Boxing, and he hits very hard. He has been quoted as saying he likes to drag his opponents into a war because he is at his best when he is tired and hurting. Both these guys live at complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to their attitude to MMA. O’Connell loves a dogfight, and Markes likes to avoid taking damage at all costs.
The one area where O’Connell struggles is the ground game, and his takedown defense is very poor. This gives Markes a good opportunity to win this fight because Markes is a strong wrestler with a heavy top game.
This is an interesting fight because O’Connell has poor takedown defense, but he does do a good job of quickly scrambling back to his feet when he gets taken down. Ronny Markes does not have the cardio to spam takedowns for 15 minutes so it will be interesting to see how Markes paces himself, particularly if he scores an early takedown and O’Connell pops right back up.
There is $1 million in prize money up for grabs in this PFL tournament and O’Connell has spoken openly about that being the key motivating factor for him competing in PFL. O’Connell is devastating when he’s at his best, and I believe there’s a great chance he finds a way to KO Ronny Markes inside a 15 minute period.
The odds are way off in this fight. There’s simply no way that O’Connell should be a big underdog to a guy like Ronny Markes. Hopefully, we can make the bookies pay for their lazy research by cashing this big winning bet.
