Premium Betting Tips, Picks & Predictions For UFC 178 Allsopp Uncategorized September 17, 2014 UFC 178 features one of the best value bets of the year. There is an outstanding opportunity to win money from one of the fights on this card and I’m still struggling to work out why the odds are so good. The only explanation I can think of, is that casual MMA fans have not seen one of these guys fight and they’re choosing to bet on the guy who has the more recognisable name. You probably already know who I’m talking about, but if you don’t, keep reading, because your bank balance is about to get a boost!!! Don’t forget to stop by the forum and let us know what you think of our betting tips, picks and predictions for UFC 178… [divider] TIM KENNEDY vs YOEL ROMERO Leonidas was a Spartan king who led 300 of his finest warriors into battle against 100,000 Persians. Before going into battle Leonidas knew that they couldn’t defeat the Persians and that a brutal beatdown was inevitable. I’d imagine that Tim Kennedy is feeling a lot like Leonidas right now, because he knows that there’s no way that he’s going to be able to beat Yoel Romero. I’m not going to go into too much detail about why Kennedy is at such a big disadvantage, because if you’ve ever seen these guys fight, you’ll already understand the reasons why Romero is going to destroy Tim Kennedy. All I have to say is that Tim Kennedy won’t be able to out grapple Romero, he won’t be able to out strike Romero and he won’t be able to submit him or knock him out. Tim Kennedy has no path to victory in this fight and he’s going to need a miracle to pull off a win. I’m placing a big bet on Yoel Romero to win, because this should be an easy match up for him. I also have to say that the odds for this fight are WAY OFF, because Romero should be a much bigger favourite than he is. I believe that this is by far the best value bet of the year and you should make the most of it by betting big… OUR BETTING TIP: 20.00 Units on Yoel Romero to win at odds of 1.90 | -111 | 9/10 The best odds on Yoel Romero to win can be found at: [adrotate group=”107″] [adrotate group=”108″] [divider] AMANDA NUNES vs CAT ZINGANO Amanda Nunes has made huge improvements since she started training full time, but I still don’t think it’s going to be enough to beat Cat Zingano. The difference in this fight will be Zingano’s aggression and strong wrestling and I just don’t see Nunes being able to deal with the overwhelming pace that Zingano sets. Amanda Nunes has good grappling and good Jiu Jitsu, but you cannot ignore the fact that she was getting controlled on the ground by Sarah d’Alelio just 18 months ago. Cat Zingano is a much better fighter than Sarah d’Alelio and she should have no problem controlling Nunes if she chooses to take this fight to the ground. Some people may criticize a bet on Zingano due to her recent injury problems, the personal issues that she has faced and the fact that she hasn’t fought in over a year and I accept that. I would normally treat each of these factors as a red flag and choose not to place a bet, but I’m going to make an exception on this occassion for a couple of reasons… First of all, Cat Zingano is not an active fighter. She has only fought 3 times in the last 3 years and therefore she is used to having long gaps in between her fights. The long gaps have never effected her in the past and she looks better and better everytime she fights. My second reason for tipping her, is that she is an absolute beast. Sometimes you can just tell that a person is mentally strong by the way they fight and if you look into the eyes of Cat Zingano, you will see exactly what I mean. She has a steely determination to win and she brings it everytime she fights. Do not let her personality fool you into thinking she’s soft, because she’s an aggressive monster in the cage. Zingano has had to face a lot of adversity prior to this fight, but I expect her to return to action and look just as good as she ever did. I believe her aggression will be the difference in this fight and whilst Nunes definitely has the speed advantage, I feel it won’t be enough to deal with Zingano’s aggressive, berzerker style. The odds on Zingano to win aren’t great, but she’s definitely worth a bet because her fighting style is tough to deal with and her control and aggression is great for scoring points on the judges score cards. I’m tipping Zingano to win and probably earn a title shot on the UFC’s big end of year show. OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units on Cat Zingano to win at odds of 1.41 | -244 | 41/100 The best odds on Cat Zingano to win can be found at: [adrotate group=”109″] [adrotate group=”110″] - 0 Share on Facebook Share on X
