UFC 183 Fantasy MMA Picks – Draft Kings & Kountermove Allsopp Uncategorized January 31, 2015 I’ve got 8 Picks for UFC 183 that should help you put together a really strong Fantasy MMA Team for Draft Kings and Kountermove. Before you checkout my picks for UFC 183, you should take some time to read my Fantasy MMA Strategy Guide, which explains how you can use my picks to win some serious cash playing Fantasy MMA. [divider] TOP PICKS ANDERSON SILVA COST: HIGH Anderson Silva is an obvious pick for any Fantasy MMA team because he has devastating finishing ability and he’s fighting a guy with terrible striking defence. Nick Diaz may be tough, but he’s never fought anyone who is anywhere near the level of Anderson Silva. I am predicting Silva knocks Diaz out in the 1st couple of rounds, which will score you big points if you put Silva in your Fantasy MMA team. TYRON WOODLEY Cost: LOW Kelvin Gastelum doesn’t have the best striking defence and Tyron Woodley has incredible knockout power. After Gastelum missed weight and looked terrible at the weigh ins, I feel there’s a very good chance that he could get knocked out in this fight. A trademark Woodley knockout in the 1st round would score big points and he doesn’t cost that much which makes him an essential pick for your Fantasy MMA team. THALES LEITES COST: HIGH Thales Leites has shown his ability to finish fights with strikes and submissions. Francis Carmont has an excellent chin, which makes Leites’ knockout in his last fight all the more impressive. Boetsch lacks the mobility and athleticism to shut Leites down and I feel that there’s a very good chance that Leites will win this fight inside the distance. DIEGO BRANDAO [Kountermove Only] COST: MEDIUM Diego Brandao always starts fast and tries to finish his opponents early. He may not always get the job done, but at least he tries. Diego is dangerous from every position and I believe he’s significantly better than Hettes everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if he scored a 1st round knockout or submission. Diego always has the potential to score big points and you should really consider putting him in your Fantasy MMA team… [divider] SAFE PICKS DEREK BRUNSON COST: HIGH I don’t believe that Derek Brunson will finish Ed Herman inside the distance, but I do believe that he’ll bank a decent number of points by winning a unanimous decision. Ed Herman honestly has nothing for Brunson in this fight and Brunson should easily win every round. Brunson is expensive, but he’s guaranteed to bank a reasonably good amount of points. [divider] DANGEROUS DOGS TOM WATSON COST: LOW Rafael Natal fades fast and he’s been knocked out in the past. It was a miracle he survived his last fight against Chris Camozzi, as Camozzi had him hurt bad in the 3rd round, but he failed to put Natal away. Watson has powerful and accurate striking and he’s significantly improved his takedown defence since he started training in the United States. Watson hasn’t finished many of his fights in the UFC, but he has been fighting very durable guys. Watson doesn’t cost that much and I believe he has a great chance of winning this fight inside the distance when Natal starts to fade. JOE LAUZON COST: LOW Joe Lauzon is always dangerous and he always seems to find a way to win fights. On paper, it looks like this is Iaquinta’s fight to lose, but Lauzon has the ability to drag people into dogfights. Lauzon is extremely dangerous on the ground and I believe Iaquinta is in big trouble if Lauzon can get him down. Lauzon is a great underdog pick, because he has the potential to score you big points with a submission win. JOHN LINEKER COST: LOW This is a very risky pick because I do favour McCall in this fight and I do believe it’s unlikely he’ll get knocked out by Lineker. Having said that, Lineker is extremely cheap on Draft Kings and you cannot deny that he has devastating knockout power. McCall has a really messed up right hand and he’s been battling several injuries going into this fight. I’m not saying Lineker is a rock solid pick, but if you don’t have much money left, he’s not a bad pick to fill up the 5th spot in your Fantasy MMA team. - 0 Share on Facebook Share on X
