Daron Cruickshank looked incredible in this fight and finished Mike Rio via TKO in the second round. We bet big on Cruickshank to win, as we couldn’t see any way that Rio would be able to cause him problems.
After three consecutive losses, Rio now faces being cut by the UFC, whilst Cruickshank will edge closer to a fight against a top 10 opponent.

CHICO CAMUS v YAOTZIN MEZA
OUR BET: 10 Units on Yaotzin Meza to win @ 2.65 | +165 | 32/20

This fight was one of the biggest surprises of the night. Yaotzin Meza had demonstrated excellent wrestling and take downs in his previous fights, but really struggled against Chico Camus, who completely out grappled him.
Camus has shown weak take down defence in his previous fights and had also struggled with his wrestling, but he showed massive improvements against Meza.
It was a disappointing performance from Meza, who lost all three rounds. He was larger than Camus and had a significant reach advantage, but completely failed to capitalise on these advantages.
This was a frustrating loss and Meza never fought to his full potential, if he had of done then the outcome of this fight would’ve been different.

ALEX CACERES v SERGIO PETTIS

This was a great fight that Sergio Pettis was winning right up until Alex Caceres caught him in a rear naked choke 30 seconds from the end of the fight. Both these guys looked incredible, but it’s pretty clear that Pettis needs to drop down and compete at Flyweight, as Caceres looked much bigger and stronger that him in the Octagon.

ADRIANO MARTINS v DONALD CERRONE
OUR BET: 10 Units on Donald Cerrone to win @ 1.52 | -190 | 11/21

This fight was the biggest mismatch on the card, as it was difficult to see any way that Martins was going to beat Cerrone. Cerrone walked his opponent down before finishing the fight with a brutal head kick towards the end of the first round.
It was a great performance and Cerrone is now due a fight against a top ranked opponent.

GABRIEL GONZAGA v STIPE MIOCIC

Gabriel Gonzaga broke his hand in the first round and Stipe Miocic was able to pick him apart for the remainder of the fight. We got unlucky in this one as the odds were great on a Gonzaga win and we truly feel like he could’ve caused Miocic problems if he was 100% healthy.

BENSON HENDERSON v JOSH THOMSON

Benson Henderson grinded out a victory against Josh Thomson, who started to fight strong before breaking his hand in the second round. Henderson went on to control much of the fight and win via split decision.
We bet big on Henderson as we felt that he would be too well rounded and too physically strong for Josh Thomson. A return of $10,000 helped to minimize our losses in what turned out to be an unpredictable night of fights.
