If Jamie Varner was to take this fight to the ground he would probably win, but that’s not Varner’s style. Varner likes to stand and bang and he loves getting himself involved in these crazy stand up wars. That type of fight will suit Abel Trujillo, who loves to stand and bang.

If Varner keeps this fight standing, which I suspect he will, then Trujillo’s technical striking advantage will shine through and he will win the fight.

It’s difficult to see how Varner wins this fight, as his hard working high pressure style of fighting won’t be enough to cope with the power and athleticism of Trujillo.
