Angela Hill vs Nina Ansaroff Betting Tip and Prediction

Angela Hill vs Nina Ansaroff is one of those fights where the bookies have set the odds totally wrong, and the betting public has not corrected them. I’d personally cap Ansaroff as the favorite in this matchup. This fight is much closer than these odds suggest.

Nina Ansaroff’s pro-MMA record of 7-5 doesn’t strike confidence into anyone, but she is much better in the Octagon than she appears to be on paper. Skill for skill Ansaroff is one of the best Strawweights in the world. Mike Brown, her head coach at American Top Team recently said that she is one of the best female fighters in their gym.

Skill for skill Ansaroff is better than Angela Hill in every single aspect of MMA. She only has a slight advantage when it comes to striking, but her punches land with much more power and she also throws a much more diverse range of strikes.

Ansaroff’s big advantage comes on the ground where she is lightyears ahead of Angela Hill. If you go back and watch any of Hill’s past fights, you’ll see that she has very poor takedown defense and she struggles to advance her position on the ground. Ansaroff has solid wrestling, she’s very strong from top position, and she always looks to stay active on top with ground and pound and submission attempts. One of the things I like about her is that she never gives up top position. She always favors position over submission, and this is a rare quality in women’s MMA.

Women’s MMA fights are often close, and I don’t expect this one to be any different, but at the current odds, Ansaroff is an excellent bet. I don’t expect her to dominate this fight completely, but she hits much harder than Hill, and she has a strong ground game which will enable her to put her stamp on rounds.

At worst this fight will be very close, which means we’re putting our money in a strong position by betting on a big underdog.

Ansaroff always brings it, and this is a perfect stylistic matchup for her. She should win.
