JAMES VICK vs NICK HEIN
James Vick is currently undefeated at 6-0 but he also holds notable wins from his time on the Ultimate Fighter against Daron Cruickshank, Dakota Cochrane and Joe Proctor. Nick Hein has competed in small regional promotions in Europe for the majority of his career and this will be the first time that he has competed in the United States.
Nick Hein looked pretty good in his UFC debut against Drew Dober, but Dober took that fight on short notice and Hein was fighting in his home country of Germany.
Hein is primarily a grappler with a strong Judo base, but he’s also a dangerous striker who fights out of the Southpaw stance. His biggest weakness is that he doesn’t throw a very high volume of strikes and he also likes to fight on the outside. This is a big problem against a guy like Vick, who holds a 10 inch reach advantage over the German. The following video clip is from Hein’s fight back in February. It was the fight he competed in just before he made his UFC debut. This clip highlights the weaknesses in his game, which should make this a comfortable fight for Vick…
James Vick is a very well rounded fighter with decent grappling, good submissions and good enough take down defence. He should be able to win this fight with his high pressure, aggressive style of fighting. With home advantage on his side and a 10 inch reach advantage, this is a fight that Vick should win.

AKBARH ARREOLA vs YVES EDWARDS
Yves Edwards is currently on a 3 fight losing streak but 2 of those losses were split decisions against Daron Cruickshank and Isaac Vallie-Flagg. His other loss came against a Piotr Hallmann, who has since been suspended for using PED’s. I really don’t see Akbarh Arreola being able to keep this fight as competitive as those guys, because Arreola is a pretty low level fighter.
Edwards likes to take control of the centre of the Octagon and blast his opponents with vicious strikes. He struggles against grapplers and guys with good footwork but Arreola is neither a good grappler, nor a particularly good striker.
Arreola likes to secure takedowns from the clinch and work his submission game, but Edwards is very good at staying out of the clinch and he’s also got decent take down defence.
Akbarh Arreola and Yves Edwards are both Southpaw strikers and this should favour Edwards, who is the more experienced striker out of the two. Low level Southpaws tend to have great success when they fight Orthodox stanced fighters, but they tend to really struggle against fellow Southpaws. Edwards is a very experienced striker and fighting a less talented Southpaw should be a huge advantage for him.
I don’t give Arreola much of a chance here. Most of his career wins are by submission against low level fighters, but he doesn’t have the best takedowns and Edwards is pretty capable on the ground.
Yves Edwards should be able to win this fight by walking Arreola down and blasting him with all kinds of nasty strikes. I really hope nothing crazy happens here, because I’d love to see Yves back in the win column!
OUR BETTING TIP: 10.00 Units [5% of your bankroll] on Yves Edwards to win at odds of 1.42 | -238 | 21/50
