An outstanding performance from Will Brooks finally brought an end to our brutal losing streak. It was so refreshing to see him turn up and perform to his full potential, after so much craziness in the last few weeks.
This fight played out almost exactly how I said it would in my original betting tip and I’m delighted that my research finally paid off.
Michael Chandler was a pretty big favourite in this fight, but Will Brooks beat him in every single area that this fight took place. He stuffed every single one of Chandler’s take down attempts and he out struck him around 5 to 1. It was an incredible performance from a very talented lightweight and I’d love to see Brooks fight in the UFC…
I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t bet more on Will Brooks to win, but I’m still nervous about betting on the professional wrestling style circus that is Bellator. I played it safe and only bet 5 units, because I thought that there could have been a dodgy judging decision in favour of Chandler if this fight went the distance. It would have been perfect for Bellator if Chandler had won this fight, because it would have setup a big rubber match between Brooks and Chandler. Thankfully, Brooks took the risk of corrupt judging out the of equation and finished Chandler with strikes in the 4th round…
Now that normal service has been resumed, I’m looking forward to banking another profit from our bets for UFC Fight Night 57…
